Suggest a better descriptionPrepare hot roll mix per instructions on box, except only allow bread to rise one time for 30 minutes; set aside. Brown sausage with minced onion (optional); drain grease and set aside to cool a little. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cut dough in half and roll out into an 8 X 12 rectangle. Spread 1/2 of sausage mixture on top of dough. Starting with the long side of dough, fold dough over and pinch the edges together. Fold ends up and pinch edge to seal. Repeat with second half of ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Tip: Steam sausage in meat steamer. When fully cooked, add to skillet and cook over medium heat with minced onion. This really cuts down on the amount of grease in the bread.
