Melt butter. Add onion, carrots, garlic. Cook until tender, but not too soft - approx. 5 min. Add 6 c. broth. Bring to boil. Turn down heat. Simmer, covered, 30 min. Add salt and pepper to taste. Drop in frozen meatballs and cook 10 min. Add pasta and cook 5 min. Add spinach. Cover and simmer 20-30 min. Add more broth, if needed.
Note: May add shredded chicken with meatballs, if desired.
