These are soft gingerbread cookies.
Mix together butter, sugar, egg yolks and molasses. Then add salt, baking soda, baking powder, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and ground cloves. Mix well. Roll 1/4 inch thick.
I put it in the fridge for about 1 hour before I roll it out so it rolls out better. Flour the counter or cutting board and the rolling pin when doing this.
Bake in 375? oven for 6 to 9 minutes. Check after 6 minutes.
Cool and decorate cookies with icing sugar.
