The cakes are topped with colored sugars - purple for justice, green for faith, and gold for power - and are often baked with a tiny plastic baby inside. Bourbon House riffs on the idea with a creamy king cake drink garnished with purple, green, and gold sugar.

1. Combine the ice cream, rum, cinnamon syrup, almond syrup, and orange juice in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour the drink into a short glass. Sprinkle with the sanding sugar.
