This is a highly modified version of many of the low-fat recipes that I have found. It si always moist and delicious and very easy to make.
1. Mash bananas into a mixing bowl
2. Add all other ingredients (except nuts) and mix well.
3. Fold in the nuts.
4. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Notes:
Nuts are optional, but I like them
I use my canned applesauce for this so I know I am not adding any extra sugar
You can make two small loaves, or do like I do and double the recipe and freeze one loaf after cooking.
Very simple to make and so moist is disappears in no time, so always make an extra loaf or two! If you don't have home made applesauce, that is fine but get the low sugar or no-sugar-added applesauce. That is the point of the recipe...to reduce the calories by cutting down on the sugar and the butter.
