This is a low fat chocolate cake that serves 10 portions at 163 calories each. It's perfect for anyone even if your not on a diet and the fat content is extremely low so it's the healthiest chocolate cake you can make!!
1. Preheat your oven to 350f or 170c
2. Grease 2 small baking pans roughly 8 inch pans.
3. In a bowl add your cocoa, flour, salt and baking powder and mix together.
4. In a different bowl mix your sugar, egg whites, egg yolk and vanilla until well combined.
5. Add yoghurt and banana purée to the wet bowl and mix again.
6. Add your wet ingredients to your dry ingredients and mix until combined but don't over mix.
7. Transfer to the 2 baking dishes equally.
8. Bake for about 25 minutes but do not overcook.
9. Leave to go cold as you can't fill them with cream until very cold or it will melt.
10. Once cooled add the thick low fat cream and sliced strawberries and then place the second layer on top, cover and place in fridge.
This makes a big cake so 1/10th is a good slice and works out at roughly 163 calories if using the ingredients I listed so is very good for you and you won't believe it when you eat it that it's super healthy. The banana purée does the work the fat would usually do. Please use no calorie sugar and the lowest fat thick cream you can buy, runny cream will not work as your cake will just splat it out the side.
