GREAT salad - works so well with Mexican food - received this recipe from my mother sometime in 1966 when I first started cooking
½ Cup Candied or slivered almonds – if candied, place in small saucepan over low heat and sprinkle with 2 or 3 TBS of sugar – cook until the sugar melts and the almonds are coated – cool
Toss all together and dress just before serving.
