Use the broiler to cook the fish in minutes

Preheat broiler to high (or use barbecue)
Combine garlic powder salt, paprika and cayenne in small bowl
Sprinkle evenly over salmon fillets
Arrange fillets on a foil-lined baking sheet coated with cooking spray
Broil 5 minutes
Remove from oven and brush fillets with maple syrup
Broil 1 additional minute or until desired degree of doneness
