Peel apple and slice into 8 pieces. Wrap 1 crescent roll around each slice, place in a glass backing dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Melt the sugar and butter together and spoon over each crescent roll. Pour mountain dew around each crescent, not on top. Sprinkle a little more sugar on top and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes, serve with cool whip.
You will love making these and they are quicker to make than apple cake.
