Suggest a better descriptionAdd cooked diced bacon, onions, carrots, celery, lentils, 2 qt water (use chicken broth or bouillon), salt, pepper, thyme, bayleaves. Bring to simmer and simmer for at least 30 min. Lentils will fall apart. Can use ham instead of bacon.
Can simmer longer and it gets thicker.
Simmer. Can freeze.
