Suggest a better descriptionSaute onion in a small amount of water until transparent. Drain the tofu and crumble it into a large bowl. Combine all the ingredients and mix well. (Use your hands if necessary). Shape into patties on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Turn over once and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Serve as is or place briefly under the broiler to brown them. HELPFUL HINTS: These may be prepared ahead and placed under the broiler for a few minutes before serving. They can also be heated quickly in a microwave. They are also very good cold. Great to bring to a picnic or cook-out. Sometimes you may get tofu with a high water content. As a result you may find the ingredients difficult to form into patties using your hands. If this should happen, you can add a few more oats then form into small rounds, place on non-stick baking sheet and press into desired shape using your fingertips. Recipe by: Mary McDougall
