Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a medium bowl, mash 3 large ripe bananas. Add 1 3/4 cups quick oats, mixing well to combine. Fold in 1/4 cup chocolate ships and 1/4 cup of applesauce. Drop 1 tbsp portions onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray. Shape into balls or flatten into disks, as desired. Bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned on top. Transfer to wire rack to cool. If desired, roll cookies in honey and then in crushed nuts.
