Make these with Sopyn's peaches from Rinconada
Peel and chop peaches, add sugar,dash salt and lemon juice. Cook 45-60 min, until sticky . Add butter to remove foam.
Sterilize jars and lids. Pour prepared peaches into jars. Wipe rims with damp cloth. Screw on lids.. Place jars in water bath. Boil for 10 min. Take out and turn upside down on towel for 10 min. They pop as they cool. Turn right side up, be patient, they take awhile to cool.
Makes 5 pints.
