Pear Chutney Recipe from Friendly Food Book 2012 - Prince Alfred Hospital Allergy Unit
Makes 1 1/2 cups
1. Drain and chop pears, reserving the syrup.
2. Pour the syrup into a saucepan. Bring to the boil and boil until the mixture is reduced to half.
3. Add the pears, sugar, citric acid & salt. Reduce the heat. Allow to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the mixture is thick.
4. Spoon into hot, sterilized jars. Seal, label & date. Once opened, store in the refrigerator and use within 3 weeks.
