Suggest a better description1. Preheat the oven to 350 F
2. In a dutch oven, combine the pears and cranberries, and drizzle them with the maple syrup. Add the sugar, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss together until well mixed.
3. In a bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, butter, flour, the remaining 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and chopped walnuts. Use your fingertips to blend coarsely. Sprinkle the oat mixture over the fruit and pat down lightly.
4. Cover, place the pot in the preheated oven, and bake for about 45 minutes, until the pears are tender and the crust is golden.
