Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 375°. Cream butter and both sugars until smooth. Add egg and vanilla and beat until completely incorporated, scraping down the sides of bowl as necessary. Combine flour, baking powder and salt together. Stir in the pecans and make sure they are fully incorporated. Spoon about 3 tablespoons of dough on the baking sheet at least 2 inches apart. Press a kitchen glass onto damp paper towel and then dip it into granulated sugar. Press the glass down onto the dough ball until cookies are about a half an inch thick. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until tops of cookies change to a dry look and edges are light golden brown. Remove from oven and complete the cool on wire racks.
