Run a toothpick through the side of the eggs to get flavor into the eggs.
Put the water, vinagar, salt, sugar
A few pieces of onion
A few pieces of dill and 1/2 tsp of pickle spices in a pot .
Bring brine to a boil
Take off the stove to cool some what at room temperature.
Put a layer of hard boiled eggs in jar, put some onion and dill on top.
keep layering eggs with onion and dill.
Poor the cooled brine over eggs.
Add red pepper flakes.
Add the other 1/2 tsp of pickle spices.
Crush garlic cloves and add to the jar.
Cover and mix jar around.
Refrigerate 7 to 10 days.
Good for 6 to 8 months.
