Ground walnut and honey bread roll
Dough Preparation: Dissolve yeast in water and tablespoon of sugar. Scald milk and add butter, 1/2 cup of sugar, salt; and cool to lukewarm. Add 2 cups of flour, yeast and beaten eggs, beat well. Add rest of flour (enough to make soft dough). Knead lightly and place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise; punch down and let rise again. There will need to be six units of dough to roll out. Roll out thin (and spread with egg yolks with butter added from filling ingedients) and then add filling. Place on cookie sheet or in bread pan and let rise.
Filling Preparation: Heat honey and warm evaporated milk. Add sugar and combine with nuts. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into nut mixture. The yolks will be blended with tablespoon of butter for spreading on rolled out dough. If desired sprinkle rolled dough with cinnamon, then spread nut mixture with one-third of single batch of filling on to dough. Roll up, place on sheet or in pan and let rise. Cook @ 350 for about one hour.
When spreading filling on dough allow about one inch on the sides so that when rolling up the filling won't ooze out, and there will be room to fold under if not in a bread pan.
