Try this Pressure Cooker Mac and Cheese recipe, or contribute your own.
Suggest a better descriptionCombine water, pasta, mustard, Tabasco, butter, and salt in the pressure cooker, and stir. Lock the lid and set for 4 minutes on manual mode (high pressure). Do a quick release after cook time is done, and remove lid. The water will be absorbed into the pasta.
Keep the pot in warm mode and stir in evaporated milk. Stir in the cheese a cup at a time. If you prefer toasted breadcrumbs on top (my kids are not fans), just pour mac and cheese in an oven safe casserole dish, top with bread crumbs, and toast in the oven using broiler. Serves 6-8.
Note: The actual cooking time is closer to 20 minutes, because it takes time for the machine to come to pressure and then it cooks. I still feel like it’s easier and more convenient than boiling water on the stove, but if you don’t have a pressure cooker, you can cook your noodles on the stove first and then follow the rest of the instructions.

I washed my new Instapot tonight, and made this. Although it would have just been easier to cook the noodles on the stove, I got used to handling the Instapot. I didn’t even hear it cooking! As with all pressure cookers, follow the instructions carefully. It was delicious!

If using a pressure cooker – no. It’s awesome how it just absorbs the water and cooks noodles!

I can get crunchy topping using a slow cooker. Top with breadcrumb/butter mix & put a paper towel across top of lid to collect moisture so they don’t get soggy.

Your recipe says it’s for pressure cooker, yet your instructions are for the instant pot, which is different than a regular stove top pressure cooker. Wish I could try the recipes, but would want an actual pressure cooker recipe, not an electric instant pot recipe.
