Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl mix flour mixture.
Alternate the addition of the flour mixture with the pumpkin into the first bowl with butter etc...
If you wish, stir in raisins.
Spoon into greased muffin pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Serve with honey nut spread.
