Pat chicken dry; season on both sides with salt and pepper. In a large, heavy pot over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the rosemary and chicken, in batches if necessary. Cook, turning once, until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Transfer to plate.
Add bell peppers, onion, pancetta and pepper flakes, season with salt and pepper. Saute until soft, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, wine, olives and capers; bring to a boil. Return chicken to the pot, reduce heat to low, then cover and simmer until breasts are cooked through, about 20 minutes. Remove breasts to a covered plate, cover and simmer the dark meat another 10 minutes. Uncover and simmer until the dark meat is cooked through and the sauce has slightly thickened, about 15 minutes more. Return breasts to the pot and simmer to heat through.
