This basic sauce can be used in any dish. Just add any main ingredient(s) i.e. fried pork, green peppers & meatballs, shrimp, veggies, etc. it also can be used as a condiment or dipping sauce. Makes about 3 1/2 cups.

In a large sauce pan combine sugar and cornstarch; stir in the remaining ingredients until smooth. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes and or until desired thickness is achieved.
