Suggest a better descriptioncook bacon in large saucepan over medium heat 6 minutes or until crisp. remove with slotted spoon and reserve drippings
thinly slice green onions reserving 2 tablespoon of dark green parts
add white and light green parts to drippings in pan, sauté 2 minutes, add garlic and sauté 1-2 more minutes
sprinkle flour over onion mixture. cook one minute stirring constantly
stir in milk, stock, bay leaf and thyme. bring to a boil. reduce to medium and cook 2 minutes.
stir in salt, black pepper, red pepper, corn and shrimp. simmer 4 minutes or until shrimp are cooked.
discard bay leaf. stir in reserved bacon.
when serving top each bowl with reserved dark green onion parts
instead of stirring in the bacon , also can top each bowl with the reserved bacon.
