1. Season both sides of the beef with salt and pepper and garlic powder.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear both sides of the meat for about 5 min, until golden.
3. In a slow cooker, whisk together the broth, soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil and sesame seeds.
4. Add the beef roast, cover and set to cook on High for 3-4 hrs, until the meat is tender and falls apart.
5. Allow to cool slightly, then transfer the beef to a large bowl and shred the meat with 2 forks.
6 Serve with juices from the cooker.
