Suggest a better description*Preheat smoker on 180 degrees, lid closed, 15 minutes.
* Rinse brisket and pat dry. Place directly on grill, fat side up and smoke for 2 hours.
*Increase temperature to 325 degrees, preheat with lid closed.
*Remove brisket from grill and place in a roasting pan. Sprinkle bay leaves, peppercorns and mustard seeds over top of brisket. Pour chicken broth and beer over brisket.
*Cover roasting pan with foil and place on grill. Cook for 2.5 hours
*Remove foil and add carrots and potatoes. Sprinkle with garlic salt and butter slices. Add 3 cups of chicken broth. Cover with foil and let smoke for 40 minutes.
*Remove veggies and slice corned beef against the grain. Serve.
