Great different side dish.
Preheat oven to 350?. Lightly butter 1 1/2 qt souffle dish.
In saucepan over high heat, combine milke, water, butter salt and pepper. Bring to boil and slowly whisk in the cornmeal. When the mixture returns to boil, reduce heat to med and continue whisking until mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan, about 3 min. Remove from heat and whisk in sour cream.
In bowl, using handheld electric mixer, beat the eggs on high speed until thick and pale lemon yellow, about 5 min. gradually stir about 1/4 of the hot cornmeal mixture into the beten eggs,, then fold the eggs into the remaining cornmeal mixture, stirring constantly. Fold in the cheese and chives. Pour into prepared souffle dish.
Bake util toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 35 min. Serve immediately.
