Classic Italian Recipe for Spaghetti Bolognaise
Thinly Slice Onion and Red Pepper and crush garlic
Place meat on heat and cook until brown, or no longer pink
Make a well in the centre and heat olive oil.
when oil is heated add, onion, pepper, and garlic.
Cook until onion and pepper sufficiently sweated. (Onion should be shiny and transparent looking and pepper should have shiny appearance)
When pepper shiny and onion is soft, then add chopped tomatoes and stir mixture, Add puree and stir in.
Add oregano or other preferred herb.black pepper.
Bring mixture to boil then simmer for a minimum of 30 minutes, the longer the better. Stir from time to time.
*if using Mushrooms - Chop mushrooms ready for adding to mince mixture about 15-20 minutes before end of cooking.
Put water on to boil in a large saucepan.
Once water is boiling add pasta and cook to time stipulated on the packet, or between 10 and 15 minutes.
Once pasta is cooked, drain and serve.
Best served with Fresh Parmissan and nice bottle of red wine
