Suggest a better descriptionPut the sugar and water in a stainless steel pan and bring to a boil. Add the lemon juice and zest and the two pieces of cinnamon stick and cook for 1 minute. Add the prepared fruit to the pan and cook for just 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the fruit and cinnamon stick with a slotted spoon. Blend the arrowroot with a little cold water, stir into fruit juices and bring to a boil. Return the fruit to the pan and let it cool before chilling. Discard the cinnamon stick. Serve the fruit sprinkled with sugar and with whipped cream if desired.
