1) Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add potatoes, and cook until tender but till firm, about 10 minutes. Drain and place in a large bowl.
2) Combine potatoes with butter, milk, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Mash together until smooth and creamy.
