Delish taco casserole. It's good for when you have company coming over.
Heat oven to 375 degrees. While oven is preheating cook ground beef in your skillet.
When beef is thoroughly cooked and drained, add refried beans, salsa, and taco seasonings. Reduce to medium heat and stir occasionally until well mixed well and softened.
In an in ungreased (at least 2qt) casserole dish place an even later of the beef and bean mixture. Then sprinkle a light even later of peppers, opinions, and cheese. Then add the rest of the beef and bean mixture on top evenly. Top with the rest of the peppers, opinions, cheese, and then add the chips.
Bake in the oven uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and chips are crisper.
Use taco seasoning mix that has the least amount of sodium, do not use other seasonings on the beef while it's cooking. The spicier the better.
