Step 2: Rinse, dry and trim beef tri tip roast.
Step 3: Place roast in your preferred marinating pan / bag and cover with the marinade.
Step 4: Place marinating roast in the refrigerator for three hours.
Step 5: Cook tri tip until 120F and rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Grilling is the preferred method of cooking this recipe. Grill over indirect heat until ~100F, then sear until 120F for a rare roast.
