White Bread
Step 1
In a large bowl, dissolve warm water.
Stir in Active Yeast
Allow to Yeast Sugar mixture to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam 30 minutes
Step 2
Mix Oil, Salt and 1 stick of soft butter into Yeast mixture
Step 3
Mix in Flour one cup at a time
Step 4
Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth.
Step 5
Place in Well oiled bowl and turn dough to coat. Cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour
Step 6
Punch dough down
Step 7
Knead for a few minutes and divide in Half. Shape into loaves and place into 2 well oiled 9x5 inch loaf pans
Step 8
Allow to rise until dough has topped the pans by 1 inch, about 30 minutes
Step 9
Heat over to 350 degrees and bake bread for 30 minutes
