Braised chicken breasts in slow cooker

Heat skillet over high heat, melt butter. Salt and pepper both sides of chicken breasts then add to heated skillet with melted butter. Brown breasts on both sides(that's what she said), 5-6 min on both sides. Place breasts in slower cooker and with small amount of wine deglaze skillet and pour over breast in slow cooker. In slow cooker add chicken stock until cover half way up chicken breasts then add wine until breasts are covered.
Cook on high for 1.5 hours or longer.
Remove breasts from slow cooker and set aside. Pour remains from slow cooker through strainer into small sauce pan. Heat sauce pan in boiling. Add alt and pepper to taste then mix corn starch and water, mix well. Add half to sauce pan and mix, mix will thicken and more if you want it thicker.
Serve over rice.
