It's an earthy winter soup.
1) Run cold tapwater over rice in a strainer aout 1 minute, lifting rice to rinse well.
2) Combine rinsed wild rice, the first chicken beroth, onion, celery and thyme in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, simmer, covered for 45 minutes or until rice is done.
Meanwhile:
Melt butter in large saucepan. Stir in flour, and pepper. (make a rue). Add mile, and the second chicken broth. Cook and stir until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Stir in rice mixture and Worcestershire sauce. Heat throughly.
Optional Lightly saute fresh, sliced mushrooms. Add to soup.
Serving: Ladel into bowls, and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
