Roll out one package of the crescent rolls in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. You don't need to push the rolls together at all; just roll them out.
Mix together the cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla. Spread over the top of the crescent rolls.
Roll out the other package of the crescent rolls over the top of the cream cheese mixture. Melt the stick of butter and pour over the top of the crescent rolls. Sprinkle the 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon over the butter. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
