2. Place zucchini in a pot with water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Drain, cool, and cut in half lengthwise. Scoop out the pulp about 1/4 inch from the skin and save the skin. Chop the pulp.
3. Mix zucchini pulp, bread pieces, bacon bits, green pepper, onion, tomato, and cheese together. Season with basil, salt, and pepper.
4. Stuff zucchini halves with the pulp mixture. Place in pan and cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender.
