Suggest a better description1. Slice zucchini into thin strips and lay on cutting board. Salt each strip (helps remove water and soften)
2. brown beef in oil with onions. Add mushrooms, tomatoes, tomato paste/sauce, sugar, spices and all vegetables except zucchini
3 rinse off zucchini strips and lay half into base of greased 9x12 pan
4. Place layer of beef sauce, then half cottage cheese and half shredded cheese. Add another row of zucchini and Repeat layers
5. Bake at 350 F for 40 min then let sit 10 min before serving
