A spicy salmon and pasta dish your taste buds will thank you for.

"Delicious, just the right amount of spice. I used angel hair pasta, canned salmon and dehydrated mushrooms as did not have fresh. Recommend and will make again."

Are you making this?
1 1/2 cups Pasta; your favourite shape
3" x 4" Salmon filet
1/2 tsp Basil; dried
2 medium Mushroom; diced
1/2 medium Onion; diced
3 cloves Garlic; thinly sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Lemon juice
1 Tomato; diced
1 tsp Cajun spice
4 oz Cheddar

Original recipe makes 2

I like to use a thin pasta for this such as small egg noodles, angel hair or linguine.

Cook the pasta in water as per package directions.

Cut the salmon filet into bite sized chunks while raw.

In a medium sized frying pan add the remaining ingredients except the cheese and salmon. Saute over medium heat until the onion is tender. Add the salmon and cook a few minutes more.

Drain the pasta and add to the salmon mixture. Slowly add most of the cheese and stir until melted. (Reserve about 1/4 of the cheese.) Add the mixture to an oven proof baking dish and top with remaining cheese.

Bake at 400 for about 15 minutes turning the broiler on the last few minutes to brown the cheese on top. Serve immediately.

I wanted pasta with salmon last night and all of the recipes I could find either called for ingredients I didn't have or did not appeal to me, so I came up with this one. Loved it and will make it again although I will likely have to cut back on the Cajun spice when the wife comes home.

Was really, really good. I used less cheese and a little milk to keep it creamy. Was very good though, will definitely be making that again!

Excellent recipe I tried angel hair pasta and it was hard to mix. It will likely be better with short pasta

This recipe was super easy and yummy. I did substitute the cheddar for a soft white cheese though.
