sunnygal ,I used Arborio rice instead of long grain white rice and cooked it in the milk mixture. Also I had some heavy cream (on hand) , so I used 2 cups of whole milk, one cup each of half/half and heavy cream. Also I soaked the raisins in brandy and mixed into the pudding. The results was just wonderful, rich and creamy. Have added this recipe to my collection of Big Oven Recipes.10y

larawaya ,This is the only rice pudding recipe I have tried and the only one I make! It tastes so much better than store bought because it is so creamy. I never use raisins (because we never have any!) and it turns out great. If you want extra flavor you can add cinnamon, a little bit of nutmeg, and some brown sugar.12y
