traceydf ,I never made a pie crust from scratch. This was easy to make and tasted great! Makes 2 crusts5m
julietalone ,First, I cut up the butter in tiny cubes and freeze it. Second, I use a food processor to mix it, minimally touching the dough because the heat of my hand can cause the butter in the pie crust to melt too soon. The butter chunks melting while baking make the crust flakey. And speaking of crust, be sure to blind bake that crust to prevent it from getting soggy!6y
chttyglk ,I love this crust. It's the best. I used it last year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now third Thanksgiving and Christmas.8y
thesonicboom ,The crust was very difficult to roll out and place on top of my apple pie. Too flaky and it fell apart over and over again after redoing it countless times. Not sure if I will make again.9y
alysia03 ,Excellent recipe, so easy to follow and make. I have used this recipe for two thanksgivings in a row now and any other time I make pies and I will continue to use it :) LOVE IT!9y
reno127 ,For being my first pie crust, using this recipe made it very easy. And the crust turned out flakey and amazing.9y
kherring21 ,I like the flavor but it turned out too hard for my liking. It was the first time I've ever made pie crust so maybe it was something I did wrong10y
hillaryanessa ,Perfect. Only a couple of simple ingredients and easy to make. Was moist and flaky. Great flavor!10y
chrisad ,Excellent recipe. I followed it exactly. I felt like adding more water but didn't. It came out great! I made a pumpkin and strawberry pie. I may use less sugar next time since the pie is already so sweet.10y
jenkiki ,I used this crust for a chicken pot pie and it was amazing. I didn't add the sugar, and it was flaky and buttery delicious. I did need a few extra tablespoons of water though, just to pull it together.11y
zzanderson ,This recipe was AMAZING! I have never made a homemade pie crust, this was my first one and my husband LOVED it!11y
