Baked Ziti

Recipes »  Main Dish  »  Casseroles

Baked ziti is comprised of three components; sauce, filling and cooked pasta. These are assembled after being prepared, then baked before serving. The final result is reminiscent of lasagna, but much easier and faster to prepare. It's sure to become your family's favorite!

"Does freeze & reheat well. I followed these instructions I found online- place ziti in freezer for 30 min so easier to handle then wrap individual servings in plastic wrap then place in freezer bag. When reheating take out individual ppeice remove plastic wrap place in micro on defrost setting breaking up as needed- once thawed reheat. Just as good as when made!" - Momof2too

Great recipe! My family enjoyed it. I definitely need to reduce the serving size. Thankfully it reheats well.

I reduced the servings to 8... it called for 2 jars of sauce (too lazy to make my own) I made the mistake of only using 1... I should have definitely used 2. I'm not a huge marinara fan so I thought it would be okay or better with less, I was greatly mistaken.

I use ground turkey, light ricotta cheese and use a mix of mozzarella and Monterey Jack. Also I mix it all up instead if using layers. Love it!!

Yum! Adjusted amount to accommodate family size and added some seasoning to the ground beef. But will cook again :)
