An easy way to use your apples that are too soft to eat.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put apples in an ungreased baking dish (a loaf pan is what I use). Sprinkle with lemon juice and toss apples to coat. Sprinkle brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon on top of apples. Pour melted butter over all. Bake covered for 30 minutes; then 15 minutes uncovered. Apples should be tender. You may serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
You can use any soft fruit, like pears or peaches too.
