From King Arthur Bakers Companion All Purpose Cookbook
Preheat oven to 350
Beat together butter and cream cheese until soft and fluffy
Add salt, sugar, vanilla, baking powder and beat for 5 minutes
Add flour beating well and scraping down sides
Add eggs one at a time scraping bowl after each addition
Spoon batter into greased 9x5 loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes OR
Spoon batter into 9 cup tube or bundt pan, bake for 40 minutes
Let cook 15 minutes in pan then remove to cool completely
