Yummy Tummy Warmer
In a large stock pot add tomatoes, chicken broth, margarine, sugar, onion and baking soda. Simmer for 1 hour. In a double boiler heat cream until hot. You can also use a small saucepan over low heat. Make sure the cream does not burn. Once heated, add to tomato soup and serve.
Creamy and tasty! This soup goes well with a slice of sourdough baguette!

JasmineAguayo 9m agoCondensed chicken broth is a special product that you can find in stores, but if you cannot, you can substitute it by either boil down 1/2 cup of home made chicken broth down to 1/4 cup. You may need to add a little extra salt to taste at the end. Alternatively, you can use use 1 bouillon cube or 1 tsp of boullion mix to 1/4 cup of water. 1/4 cup is 2oz.
nancy39 10m agoI'm wondering about the one ounce of chicken broth too. Is that a mistake? Please answer.
Kj35779 1y agoWas the 1 oz of broth a mistake?? Seems like it should be more?? I'm trying to cook this but 1 oz of broth makes no sense. Please answer.
twiggyrae 1y agoFlavor is spot on and the baking soda seemed to make it frothier which our family enjoyed.
JessiL 1y agoMy family loved this tomato soup recipe. Had a stronger, bolder flavor than canned condensed soup. Will make again!
