"When I made this, I used 2C of super-chunk peanut butter, which made the cookies really peanut buttery & added texture. I also added a bunch of semi-sweet chocolate chips to the recipe. I received a lot of compliments on this. Also, Crisco's recipe is the same, but calls for 1T of vanilla, not 1t. Thanks for a great recipe!!!"

Ingredients

3/4 c Creamy peanut butter
1/2 c Crisco
1 1/4 c Brown sugar
3/4 ts Baking soda
3 tb milk
3/4 ts Salt
1 3/4 c Flour
1 ts Vanilla
1 Egg

Original recipe makes 6

Servings  

Preparation

1. Heat oven to 375F. 2. Combine peanut butter, Crisco, sugar, milk, and vanilla 3. Beat at medium speed until blended. 4. Add egg and beat again. 5. Combine dry ingredients. Mix in at low speed 6. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet. 7. Bake 7-8 minutes or until brown. Variation: flatten slightly in a criss-cross pattern with a floured fork. When I made this, I used 2C of super-chunk peanut butter, which made the cookies really peanut buttery & added texture. I also added a bunch of semi-sweet chocolate chips to the recipe. Yes I really like this recipe. Its great if you need to make a lot of cookies and are on a budget. I prefer using butter, but when I need to make a lot I tripple the recipe and it saves a lot of money using Crisco
