have made this for Thanksgiving for almost 40 years!
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Combine soup, milk, pepper in 1 1/2 quart casserole dish or 8x8 inch baking dish. Mix well.
3. Stir in drained beans and 1/2 of onions.
4. Bake 10 -15 minutes. (Some recipes say up to 30 minutes). And stir.
5. Sprinkle with remaining onions and bake 5 minutes more or until hot and onions are golden.
Variations: You can use cut green beans instead or frozen beans (If using frozen beans, use 2 16 oz. packages and cook as directed on package before adding to soup mixture.)
You can add bacon bits (1 1/2 oz. with soup mix and 1 1/2 oz. on the top later.).
You can use low fat milk, fat free cream of mushroom soup.
You can add 1 tsp soy sauce.
