1/2 c Apples; thinly sliced
2 c Water
1/2 ts Cinnamon
Milk; or cream
1 c Quinoa
1/3 c Raisins
Honey; or brown sugar

Original recipe makes 5



Rinse quinoa and add to water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes. Add apples, raisins and cinnamon; simmer until water is absorbed. Serve with milk or cream and sweeten to taste with honey or brown sugar. Recipe on 12 oz. box Ancient Harvest brand quinoa. Distributed by Quinoa Corporation World Headquarters/P.O. It's good. You do have to "doctor" it according to personal preference since quinoa, like many grains, is flavorless.

It's just ok. I found it needed something as it was quite bland besides the cinnamon.

Yum! Quinoa for breakfast is so good. Previous reviewer is just confused about how to cook the quinoa but rates the recipe one star. Sad because this is really good. Add Any fruit and my one year old will eat it all!

Does one begin to heat the water before adding the Q or does it get added to the water, then put on the stove?
