Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together shortening and sugar, then add eggs, molasses, salt, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and flour. Mix until smooth. Roll into small balls, then roll in sugar. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Makes approximately 60 cookies.
