The simple version of upside down pineapple cake without sacrificing the flavor. A cinch to make whenever you don't want to slave in the kitchen but seems like you did.
Melt stick of butter in baking dish. Pour in 1 cup brown sugar. Do not stir add pineapple (drained) In bowl combine flour, sugar, milk. Pour mixture over pineapple.
You choose to add a small amount of pineapple juice to your batter for more flavor.
Cook in oven on 375(F) for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.

hotstuffnthekitchen 1y agoI really enjoyed this recipe. I doubled the pineapple and added some chopped nuts and shredded coconut. I also used 1 cup flour with 1 tbsp baking powder since I didn't have self-rising flour. Very yummy!
