This is our family's style of the classic holiday green bean casserole. We don't let a family gathering go by without having it!
Stir the dry ingredients into the milk or butter over medium heat to make a pasty white sauce. Gradually add the sour cream and stir until thick. Stir in the green beans.
Transfer green bean and sauce mixture to a greased 9x13 dish. Top with shredded cheese, and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
While baking, crush corn flakes and mix well with melted butter. Add the mixture to the top of the melted cheese and bake another 5 minutes, or until browned and crispy. Cool for 10-15 minutes, and enjoy!
Goes well with any meat dish.
